16 Fokionos Negri str. presents the exhibition “LAZONGAS: Painting – Drawing 1983-1993″ with 25 artworks, collages and drawings, from the Christos Christofis Collection.

Yorgos Lazongas considers drawing “the honesty of art” and has always thought of it as autonomous form of art. He has stated that “drawing has always been an affinity. Not only it has been an inseparable part of my work, but it has also been interwoven with my personal history, experiences, agonies and protests or even matters of personal concern”.

The works presented in this exhibition are from some of the artist’s favourites themes (Female Nude, Warriors, Iliad and Odyssey) and others, less known to the public, but, equally, of great significance.

All the works are exhibited for the first time.

The collector Christos Christofis will give guided tours on the following dates:

  • Saturday 07/02 at 12.30
  • Saturday 07/02 at 12.30
