Born in Vounoplayia (Ioannina) in 1957, he studied sculpture under the tutelage of Yannis Pappas and Dimitris Kalamaras and scenography under Vassilis Vassileiadis at the Athens School of Fine Arts where he graduated from in 1983. In 1987 he won a Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) three-year grant. He has featured paintings and sculptures in three solo shows and various group exhibitions. His works have garnered four first prizes at art contests and competitions in Greece. Among others, he made a life-size statue of Rhigas Feraios for Belgrade and the memorial busts of Antonis Tritsis, Tassos Vournas and Konstantinos Vellios which were erected Athens. He teaches Athens School of Fine Arts candidate students drawing, colour theory and sculpture. His works are found in public places and private collections.
